The GSA Per Diem app allows federal employees to input trip dates as well as the destination city and state, and then see the total meals & incidentals reimbursement for the trip.
The 'fiscal year' field defaults to the current fiscal year, and the zip code is filled automatically based on the city and state (both of these fields can be edited).
The GSA Per Diem app interfaces directly with GSA data to ensure that users are always provided with the most current data.
In its calculations, it accounts for the fact that travelers are only reimbursed for 75% of the M&IE expense for the first and last days of travel.
